Red Cross Basic First Aid (no CPR)

This First Aid class is normally offered at a price of $55 through the American Red Cross, but Campbell CERT is providing this class for free to the general public. If you need a certificate of training that will be valid for two years, there will be a discounted cost of $22.
This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants.
When you understand first aid, you'll gain the ability to help those in need. Through this first aid certification class you'll learn how to respond to specific situations, which will help you care for people in crisis as they wait for medical professionals to arrive. This gives them the best opportunity for a positive outcome – and gives you the opportunity to change someone's life for the better.
First Aid provides additional information not covered in the Stop The Bleed class. CPR is not included in this class.
This class is designed to help non-medical professionals provide assistance in times of crisis, this course allows you to gain an understanding of first aid best practices for a wide range of conditions, including:
- Asthma emergencies
- Anaphylaxis
- Burns
- Choking
- Diabetic emergencies
- External bleeding
- Environmental emergencies
- Heart Attack
- Neck, head and spinal injuries
- Poisoning
- Stroke
- Seizure
This class follows the American Red Cross curriculum and is free without a certificate or $22 with a two year certificate of training. Please provide payment in cash or check at the class.
