Kat is known as a financial expert. She began her career in the financial industry at the early age of seventeen, but eventually moved into high tech for about 10 years. Her stint in technology began in network engineering and ended in senior management, controlling operations of a large IT service center with over 125 employees. The dot com crash brought her back to the finance industry.

Upon entry into the mortgage industry, she quickly became a top selling wholesale account representative. Recognizing a lack of service to credit challenged families, Kat responded by heading up a non-profit foundation. Her efforts promoted homeownership nationwide by rehabilitating homes and offering loans to families overlooked by traditional financial institutions.

She has developed an ardent eye for dynamic solutions due to extensive exposure to complicated financial situations over the years, helping many families along the way. She has taken this knowledge and applied it to taxation and can keenly analyze complete financial pictures to recommend the optimal tax solutions that serve her clients best. Her successes working with the IRS to help reduce individual’s taxes, has generated testimonials of her cohesive working relationship with the agency.

Combining real estate finances and taxation has allowed her to understand the circumstances, concerns, and tax consequences of a short sale for a homeowner and provided her the ability to apply the various acts and rules to an individual taxpayer’s situation, which has meant working closely with real estate agents as a result.

Kat graduated from the California State University system with a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Finance. She is continuing her education by obtaining an Enrolled Agent designation with the IRS. She is listed on the IRS website as an authorized electronic filing provider and can be located in the IRS Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers with Credentials and Select Qualifications.
