Join us as we celebrate Parks & Recreation Month in July!
Since 1985, people in the United States have celebrated Park and Recreation Month in July to promote building strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation and to recognize the more than 160,000 full-time park and recreation professionals - along with hundreds of thousands of part-time and seasonal workers and volunteers - that maintain our country's local, state and community parks and recreation facilities.

Families and kids of all ages can climb aboard, honk horns, and learn about a variety of vehicles—from construction trucks to emergency response units. Meet the people who operate them and discover how these vehicles help keep our community running. It’s a hands-on, fun-filled experience you won’t want to miss!

Free Kindness Rock Painting | July 7 | Tues | 3:00 - 5:00 PM
Participants of all ages are invited to paint colorful rocks with uplifting messages, inspiring words, and cheerful designs. Finished rocks can be taken home or donated to our Kindness Rock Gardent at Edith Morley Park, where they'll help spread positivity and brighten the day of every visitor. All supplies are provided, just bring your creativity and kind spirit!

Free Movie Night - The Incredibles | July 10 | Fri | Starts at Sunset
Join us for a special outdoor screening of The Incredibles, a family-favorite packed with action, humor, and heart. Bring the whole family and settle in for a night of superhero fun! Costumes encouraged—because everyone has a little hero inside them.

Free Pickleball Social | July 11 | Sat | 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Enjoy a fun afternoon of pickleball with contests, learning opportunities, games, and great vibes as we celebrate this wonderful sport. Don't have a paddle? No worries, we have some. Don't know anybody? You will after today! All levels are welcome, come to play, come to learn, come to enjoy some fun times with fellow picklers.

Free Recreation Swim | July 11 | Sat | 2:30 - 4:00 PM
Come swim at the Campbell Community Center Pool for free on July 11 between 2:30-4:00pm. The Campbell Community Pool features one 20-yard by 25-yard outdoor pool divided into shallow and deep ends for all swimmers to enjoy. Locker rooms and showers are available for use, but please bring you own lock if you are interested in securing your items. On deck, we have lounge chairs, tables, and cubbies to store your items. Proper swim attire must be worn in the pool - no denim or cotton clothing allowed. Noodles are only allowed in the deep end. Pull Buoys, Kickboards, Fins, and Mermaid tails are not allowed in the pool. Goggles that cover the eyes and nose are allowed. Snorkel breathing masks are not allowed.

Free Pups, Pops, and Cops | July 14 | Tues | 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Enjoy a morning of fun with a Campbell PD K9 team demonstration and meet-and-greet, free otter popsicles, arts and crafts, and the chance to connect with therapy dogs from Love on a Leash and adoptable dogs from SVACA. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a fun community morning with our furry friends! We will see you at 10:30am in Q84.

Free Family Fun at the Museum | July 17 | Fri | 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Join us for Free Family Fun Friday at the Campbell Historical Museum, where kids and families can dive into history through creative crafts and hands-on activities. It’s a playful, engaging way to explore the past together and make lasting memories—no tickets required! The museum is open 11 am to 3 pm. Enjoy local history and engaging crafts. Free Yoga at the Orchard City Green | July 19 | Sun | 9:30 - 10:30 AM
Take a moment to find your balance in a welcoming outdoor setting. This class is open to the community—whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi. Please bring your own yoga mat and water bottle. This event takes place at Orchard City Green in downtown Campbell—stick around afterward to enjoy the Farmers’ Market in downtown Campbell.

Visit the Heritage Theatre for a Pop-Up Art Gallery in the lobby featuring artwork by theatre volunteers, staff, and Campbell members. The theatre will also be open for public viewing during the event. Stop by to explore the space and enjoy a selection of local artwork.

This relaxed plein air event will be guided by Pat Jimenez, Campbell Adult Center 50+ Art Instructor, offering a welcoming space for artists of all levels. Please bring your own materials and preferred media. The event is free and open to the public—come create, connect, and be inspired by the natural surroundings. Free Family Fun Day at the CCC | July 26 | Sun | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Free Adaptive Dis-Glow Dance | July 29 | Wed | 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Join us for a special night celebrating National Park and Recreation Month. Campbell Recreation invites individuals of all abilities and their loved ones to an inclusive and fun-filled dance event. Enjoy music, light refreshments, and an evening of dancing and community connection.
Note: Participants ages 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Direct supervision is not provided.
