We’re losing a friend of 10 years at the end of this month. Spread Deli is closing its doors on January 30th, 2022. They’ll still sort of be around as part of Jtown Pizza in Japantown. Spread sandwiches will be available there.

Thanks for the memories, Jordan and crew! 😢

Are you looking to come out of our latest round of being-at-home-life with a new skill? Have you always wanted to learn Spanish, but needed the right opportunity and some good instruction to help you get started?

Vive La Experiencia Spanish and ESL Institute in Downtown Campbell has a perfect opportunity for you. They're starting an eight week beginning Spanish course for adults on Thursday, February 3rd.

The program is ideal for any adult with some or no previous Spanish speaking experience. You'll be taught Spanish in a small online class of 4 to 8 adults for 90 fun and engaging minutes each week with a language instructor for eight weeks in a row. By the end of the 8-week course*, you should have a strong foundation in the basics of the Spanish language to continue your learning journey on your own or in further coursework.

Tuition for this 8 week long course is $210.

In addition to small group Spanish language classes for adults, Vive La Experiencia also has a range of other private, semi-private, and small group Spanish language experiences for kids, teens, and adults. Tutoring, ESL, and translation services are also available.

*-Due to the current Omicron wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, this group class will be held over Zoom conferences.

You may have remembered that the City of Campbell had previously voted to end the Downtown Campbell Parklet Program on January 3rd. It was supposed to be that on this date the program would either be replaced by a permanent plan based on the original parklet program or would end entirely.

Well, then this hyper-transmissible Omicron thing happened. I'm sure you need no introduction to that. Long story short, in a special session, the Campbell City Council voted to extend the Downtown Campbell Parklets Program an additional 90 days. This means that all of the outdoor dining options you've come to expect will continue to be around until at least early April.

No Farmers' Market on December 26th

Posted on December 26th, 2021 by Downtown Campbell

There will be no Farmers' Market in Downtown Campbell on December 26th. The market normally only takes a break on major holidays, but because the farmers' would have to pick and prepare for going to the market on Christmas Day for a December 26th market, Urban Village Farmers' Market Association decided to also make Sunday, December 26th a break as well.

The Farmers' Market will resume on the following Sunday on January 2nd, but a few vendors are likely also taking that day off.

Everyday is Small Again for 2021

Posted on November 26th, 2021 by sheldon

Last year as we were entering the worst days of the Covid-19 pandemic after an already terrifying year for small businesses, we asked you to make every day Small Business Saturday because there were so many Mom and Pop shops that were on the brink of going under. Thanks to you, most of our shops made it through a year to forget.

2021 was supposed to be totally different wasn't it? Instead of the return to normal we all wanted, we got a year that carried its own set of incredible difficulties leading to yet another very nervous holiday season.

We need your support again this year so we're calling on you again in 2021 to make every day Small Business Saturday. When you're drawing up your gift ideas, please think of a locally owned Mom and Pop shop first before you look elsewhere.

If you're short on ideas and short on time, be sure to take advantage of our online gift cards directory with links to pages where you can purchase gift cards for many of your favorite businesses in Downtown Campbell.

In 2021, we thank you for thinking small. Thank you for shopping small. Thank you because once again, Every Day Is Small.
