This event has already passed

Green Planet Yarn in Downtown Campbell is pleased to present the class Oops - How to Recognize, Avoid, and Fix Mistakes in Your Knitting. This class, held on Sunday, May 13th, is for beginning knitters.

In this one-session class you will learn how to “read” your knitting, how to “tink” (undo your knitting one stitch at a time, and how to put in a lifeline so that you can rip back a portion of your knitting without going farther than you meant to. We will also discuss some of the common errors, how they can occur, and how to fix them. If you have a piece of knitting with some errors, bring it along and we’ll sort it out together.

Supply list: any weight of yarn and suitable knitting needles, smooth yarn in contrasting color (or embroidery or dental floss), yarn needle, crochet hook.
Locking stitch markers also useful.

Homework: knit a few inches of stockinette fabric (knit 1 row, purl 1 row,
repeat for desired length). Do not bind off. Also, if you have a work in progress with mistakes you'd like to fix, bring it along; it will be used as an example in class.

Skill level: beginner, able to knit and purl.

Fee: $25. Payment required in advance. Space is limited. Please phone the shop for more information and to reserve a spot, 408-871-9196.
