For 50 years, the Friends of the Campbell Library has been a non-profit exclusively committed to supporting the Campbell Library's mission of education and lifelong learning. With the newly renovated building soon to be completed, we are reaching out to ask you to make a donation to our Love Our Library campaign. Our goal is to raise $250,000 to provide enhancements that will create a state-of-the-art library the community can be proud of. The residents of Campbell passed Measure O to renovate the library building in 2018; now it's our turn to make it extraordinary.

In order to reach this goal, we are relying on the generosity of individuals like you. Your donation will help to provide enhancements for: a community room for free programs that promote lifelong learning, accessible and comfortable meeting rooms supported by cutting-edge technology, a designated children's room and teens' area, and much more.

Make Your Mark on the Donor Wall

A permanent donor wall will be prominently featured in the newly renovated library to recognize those who have made this possible. Special recognition will be for the following levels of giving:

$500 - $1,999

Supporter

$2,000 - $4,999

Partner

$5,000 - $14,999

Benefactor

$15,000+

Legacy

Make a gift online at campbellfol.org, or mail a check to "Friends of the Campbell Library" at 1 W. Campbell Avenue Room E46, Campbell, CA 95008.

Your support is essential, and we are grateful for any amount you are able to give. We hope you will consider becoming a part of our fundraising campaign. Your gift will have an invaluable impact in our community for many years to come.

The third annual Historic Downtown Campbell Car Show came in hot and left with a bang. Despite it being only our third show, it's already a key car show in Northern California and this year's show exceeded 300 cars for the first time.

Among those 300+ entries were historic cars, rebuilt classics, unusual custom builds, super cars, trucks of all eras, racers, and even a few novelty cars. All entries were screened by our judging panel to ensure we had both a diverse mix of cars and cars of very high quality to put on display.

This year, there were seven prize categories with a custom fabricated trophy awarded to the best car in each category. Congratulations to our 2025 winners listed below.

  • Best Truck - Ricky Rosas - 1958 GMC Truck
  • Best Muscle Car - Jerry Dye - 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302
  • Best Street Machine - Michael Fortes - 1962 Chevrolet Impala
  • Best Hot Rod - Dave Stohlman - 1935 Ford Pickup
  • Best Import - Regel Garza - 1980 VW Bug
  • Staff Pick Award - Paul Petro - Ford F350 Factory Crewcab 4x4
  • Best in Show - Larry Carter - 1933 Ford Roadster w/Ferrari Motor

Scroll down to view photos of the winners.

Thank you to everyone who entered their cars to help us have a standout show that could be enjoyed by so many people with different car fancies. Those of you who didn't get in, we appreciate you too and wish we didn't have to turn away so many highly qualified entries due to lack of space.

Acknowledgements

One of the things that makes the Historic Downtown Campbell Car Show absolutely remarkable is that it's produced entirely by volunteers starting with the small team of organizers who were responsible for the mammoth task of pulling together a show of this stature.

Some of the tireless people who were responsible for this show being reality were:

We also had somewhere around 100 volunteers who helped with a variety of important tasks from running our check-in process to operating popcorn machines. It takes a village to do something like this and we thank everyone who took time to be a part of this day.

If you'd like to volunteer for future car shows in Downtown Campbell or other events, be sure to fill out our Volunteer Registration form.

Cloud City Turns 4!

Posted on June 17th, 2025 by cloudcity

Four years ago, Cloud City Supply opened in the heart of downtown Campbell with the intention of connecting local patrons and curious onlookers through elevated cannabis experiences. One engineer’s leap of faith into entrepreneurship swiftly evolved into an initiative that would benefit the entire community. Today, Cloud City is a staple destination and a hub for community gatherings, cannabis education, and alternative wellness solutions. This month marks the store’s fourth year in business, three of which Mercury News readers have voted it the best CBD store in Silicon Valley— a huge honor that couldn’t have been made possible without you.

Founder story

Founder and CEO Amy Taylor is an innate problem solver. Her decision to open Cloud City came as a natural extension of her work in electrical and systems engineering. Amy’s love for cannabis through a midlife transition inspired her to share her knowledge in hopes of helping others going through similar situations. Thus, her passion project took a new form. The result? A warm and welcoming space for people to explore the wonders of cannabis as a natural wellness remedy at their own pace.

The Sunday ritual

If you’re local to downtown Campbell, then you know what a treat Sundays at Cloud City are. There are so many things to look forward to: the aroma of freshly brewed CBD coffee in the air, live music playing in the courtyard, followed by a DJ who picks up the tempo for an upbeat vibe; neighbors greeting each other, friends bonding over brunch, and parents enjoying a moment of serenity while their kids play worry-free. As if all of that wasn’t compelling enough for your Sunday morning routine, the energy inside the store itself is undeniable. The budtenders wear smiles on their faces and are all ears, ready to dive into a cannabis consultation that addresses your unique needs.

A trustworthy community resource

Over the past four years, these small moments and pockets of joy have become an essential component of Cloud City’s weekly wellness routine, which you’re invited to join. As a resource hub, one aspect the store values most about the relationship it has built with its local community is trust. Beyond offering the best CBD products on the market, Cloud City has become an inclusive gathering space where individuals can discover innovative wellness techniques, enjoy themselves safely and responsibly, and make new friends. The staff thrives on curating this intimate environment, holding the honor in high regard. Cloud City Supply is dedicated to providing the support you need to achieve a pain-free and stress-free lifestyle.

The trust conveyed by families who feel comfortable bringing their kids to events hosted by a cannabis store humbles Amy, who devotes the majority of her free time to community contribution. In...Read More

Happy Pride Month

Posted on June 10th, 2025 by Downtown Campbell

The opposite of hate is not love. It's curiosity. None of us are born fully aware. We become aware. It is never too late to put your assumptions aside and learn how the world feels to someone born and living under vastly different circumstances than yours.

I hesitate to say Happy Pride Month this year because the times do not feel celebratory. Given the recent passing of musician and local son, Sly Stone, it'd be appropriate to recognize the difficult moment by quoting from Sly and the Family Stone's canon of human diversity, "Everyday People."

"There is a blue one who can't accept the green one
For living with a fat one trying to be a skinny one
And different strokes for different folks...

We got to live together
I am no better and neither are you
We are the same whatever we do

You love me, you hate me, you know me and then
You can't figure out the bag I'm in
I am everyday people..."

It's an appropriate time to listen closely to that song. We are everyday people in the rainbow of all human outcomes.

Sheldon Chang, DowntownCampbell.com Online Editor

The 3rd Annual Historic Downtown Campbell Car Show is in the books and we are absolutely flattered and humbled by the positive comments we've been getting. There will be a wrap-up coming up in approximately one one week to show you photos from the show and announce the winners.

This show was an enormous amount of work and we would like to recognize the absolutely critical role volunteers played in its success. Around 100 people signed up to help us prepare for this event, produce it, run it, and clean-up after it.

WIthout our army of volunteers, this does not happen. If you were one of them, we hope you take a moment to read the positive comments we've been getting on social media. You were part of this and we thank you. There's no way this happens without your help and we hope you all return again in 2026.

If you want to be one of those people in 2026, make sure you've filled out our general Volunteer Registration Form where you can put your name down to help with all kinds of events organized by us (Downtown Campbell Business Association) year round.
