On November 10th, we held our second sold out Wine Walk of the year after going without any wine tasting events in all of 2020. Like our first Wine Walk held earlier this summer, most of the event was held outdoors and we downsized the event to 500 tickets to help keep the lines and crowding more manageable.
It was not an easy event to pull off. Nothing needs be said of how difficult 2020 was, but 2021 has been very tough in its own ways. Downtown Campbell is not like most downtowns because we don't have an administrative office managing it and we have no funding other than what we're able to raise through events like these Wine Walks. Most of the events that are held down here are orchestrated by business owners volunteering to make Downtown Campbell a vibrant place.
A lot of people helped to put on the two Wine Walks we had this year, but two people deserve special mention. Carol Pouya (Tessora Barra di Vino) and Maria Arias (Besties Boutique) have truly gone the extra mile in a very difficult year.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Wine Walk. Here's hoping that by this time next year, life looks a lot closer to normal.
