You've probably noticed scooters like these scattered around Downtown Campbell lately. The Campbell City Council has not made a decision one way or another on what to do about them, but is expected to do so within a month from now. In the meantime, they're being conditionally allowed if you follow some rules.
The following list is not comprehensive so there may be other things you need to do to keep you and the scooter you're riding in good standing.
- You must have a drivers license to ride them.
- Do not ride on the sidewalk.
- Follow all traffic rules when riding (obey stop signs).
- No parking directly in front of buildings or walkways.
From what I've heard, the Campbell PD has been lenient so far, but breaking any of these rules could result in a ticket and a significant fine.
