DCBA Volunteer of the Year: Sonya Paz

The Downtown Campbell Business Association (DCBA) has awarded the honor of 2010 Volunteer of the Year to Sonya Paz, artist and owner of Sonya Paz Fine Art Gallery.

Since their inception, Sonya has been the driving force behind the Third Friday ArtWalks in Downtown Campbell as well as the wildly popular biannual Wine Walks. Both of these regular events draw hundreds of people to Downtown Campbell, benefiting all merchants in the area. In particular, the Wine Walks have become one of the strongest fundraisers for the DCBA, permitting the organization to continue to provide free community events even in the midst of a nation-wide economic downturn.

In addition to her formidable event organizing skills and energy, Sonya has also donated countless hours of her time and artistic talent to providing much of the graphic design for the DCBA, producing brochures and logos for many different purposes. And as if all of this were not enough, she is a very active member of the Board of Directors of the DCBA.
