Awareness of Mental Illness, at Campbell Library
This event has already passed
Mental illnesses are like any other medical condition; they can impact people of all educational and socio-economic backgrounds, and people do recover. They also require attention and care. The earlier the signs and symptoms are detected, the higher chance the person will get adequate treatment, and experience recovery. Mental Health Peer Support Worker and ECCAC Team lead, Brian Cheung, from Santa Clara County Mental Health Department, will introduce the most common mental illnesses in the United States, their signs and symptoms, and resources that can help.
